All-solid-state battery

Solid electrolytes are emerging as the next-generation materials that supplement the stability of liquid electrolyte.
We are researching solid electrolytes which have good stability against firing or explosion.

Electrode materials

Electrode materials play an important role which is related to the voltage and capacity in the secondary batteries. In our group, we are studying about novel synthesis using novel solvent and synthesizing various cathode, anode materials which have a large voltage window and capacity.

Electrolyte additive engineering

Electrode materials refer to substances that are added in small amounts to the electrolyte of a battery in order to improve its performance. These additives can enhance the battery’s thermal stability, safety, and various physical properties of the electrolyte. In our group, we are studying about additive engineering strategy to control Li-electrolyte interactions and cycle stability.

Next generation secondary battery

Because of lithium’s weakness, other alkali-ions are emerging as an alternative to lithium-ion. In our group, especially we are working on the synthesis of sodium-ion battery cathode and anode.
